At NetNest IT Solutions, we respect your privacy and handle your personal information with the utmost care.Ā We only use your information in ways you have consented to or where legally required. Information We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to operate our website securely, process your orders, and improve our services. This may include:

  • Name and email address
  • Contact number and billing/delivery address (required to process and deliver your order)
  • Website Usage Data: We automatically collect non-personal data about your activity (e.g., IP address, browser type, pages viewed) using tools like Google Analytics or server logs to improve our website experience. If this usage data is directly linkable to your account, we treat it as Personal Information in accordance with the IPPs.

This information is strictly confidential. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes,Ā nor do we use it for automated decision-making that significantly affects you, except as described below:

  • With trusted service providers required to fulfill your order (e.g., payment processors, shipping companies).
  • For Website Performance and Security: We use Cloudflare and bunny.net (for CDN and image delivery) to improve site performance and security. This involves sending limited traffic data (such as user IP addresses) to their global networks, which are processed in data centres located primarily in the United States, Europe, and Singapore.
  • When required by law or legal process.

How We Protect Your Information

We use Stripe as our third-party payment gateway providers for eCommerce transactions. Stripe is compliant with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS). All payment card details are encrypted and transmitted securely directly to the respective payment providers, and we do not store or have access to customers’ full credit card details on our systems.

We take your security seriously:

  • Communications with our website are encrypted using 256-bit Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology where supported by your browser.
  • Access Control: Access to personal information is strictly limited to necessary employees and contractors via secure systems using Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA).
  • Data Breach Reporting: We maintain a Privacy Breach Response Plan. If an unauthorized disclosure or access to your personal information occurs that is likely to cause serious harm (a notifiable privacy breach), we will notify affected individuals and the Privacy Commissioner in accordance with the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020.

Data Retention

We are legally required to retain records of your transactions, orders, and associated financial data for a minimum period to comply with New Zealand tax and corporate laws, which is typically seven (7) years.

After this mandatory legal period expires, we continue to retain your order and transaction data as part of your customer history to ensure a smooth, efficient service and to provide you with better support and tailored offerings.

However, you retain control over this data and have the right to request that your personal information be securely destroyed or de-identified after the mandatory seven (7) year retention period has passed.

Your Rights and Complaints

You have the following rights regarding the Personal Information we hold about you:

  • Access and Correction: You can contact us to request access to or correction of your Personal Information.
  • Right to Erasure/Deletion: You have the right to request the deletion of the Personal Information we hold about you (subject to legal and regulatory obligations, as detailed in our Data Retention section).
  • Marketing Communications and Review Requests: We do not send marketing emails about our products or services. The only automated email you may receive is a one-time follow-up request to review your purchase, which may be sent via a trusted third-party review platform (such as Trustpilot, Google Reviews, or similar services). If we use your email for any direct marketing in the future, it will include an unsubscribe link that you can use to easily opt out of receiving further communications.
  • Complaints: If you have a complaint about how we have handled your Personal Information, please contact us first using the details below. If you are not satisfied with our response, you may lodge a complaint directly with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner (OPC) in New Zealand.
