Datalogic Top Down Imager, 7, Magellan 9800i

The 7” height is specifically designed for retail self-checkout applications and optimized for Produce Identification. This imager takes advantage of the proven rugged TDR (Top Down Reader) form-factor to provide years of trouble-free service. The TDi is also completely integrated with the Magellan 9800i. This means no problems with red illumination interfering with the captured colour images.

These white lights also allow the TDi to illuminate the dark interiors of opaque bags as well as see through translucent produce bags for simple, no-fuss identification of the items within. Full integration with the 9800i also means no extra cables in lanes where space is at a premium.

Perfectly positioned above the platter for optimal performance with AI and machine learning software, retailers can now add cutting-edge features like Produce Identification to their existing hardware infrastructure without complex upgrades or challenging field service procedures. No matter what self-checkout system is in use, the Magellan 9800i TDi will provide a consistent view of the platter across the entire enterprise.
